Food:Cherry Avocado Citrus Smoothie

Let me start off by saying I am not really a huge fan of Avocado.  I know that it is good for me and has ton's of health benefits but I am not a fan.  I went on a limb last week and bought five anyway, since they were on sale. I am trying to change my families eating habit, which I know starts with me.

I still have a love-hate relationship with avacado, but today I created my own recipe "Cherry Avocado Citrus Smoothie." Yummy.  So I figured I would share it with my subscribers....

Najeema's Cherry Avocado Citrus Smoothie

What you need
Knife
Cutting
Blender(I used my Ninja which worked out quite well)
1 Orange
2 Limes
1 Avacado, pitted and cubed
1 cup of chopped frozen bananas
1 cup of yogurt
1/2 Cup of Apple Juice, Additions 1/4 cup if needed
1 cup of frozen unsweetened cherries
1/4 cup of sugar( or substitute 1/4 cup of honey. I was all out of it.)

Directions
  1. Place cubed avocado into blender.
  2. Roll orange and lime's on flat surface to release juices.
  3. Cut orange and lime's in half.
  4. Hand squeeze orange and 2 lime half's directly into blender.
  5. Blend
  6. Add Yogurt and Apple Juice and blend well.
  7. Add remaining lime, cherries, and sugar.
  8. Blend until smooth and all ingredients are combined well.
  9. Pour and Enjoy.
This yummy recipe happened by chance, but I am so glad it did. Will definitely be using it again soon.

Peace and Love,
